The Entrepreneurship Wave

Have noticed a surge in the interest of entrepreneurship lately? The number of persons wanting to become entrepreneurs have skyrocketed over the last five years. I liked to call this The Entrepreneurship Wave.

It’s almost as if a huge waves of ideas and will from the ocean of knowledge began sweeping the earth onto the shores of communities all around the world sounding the wake up call to take hold of one’s own dreams and vision. It feels like lights of boldness and tenacity have taken over the darkness of frustration and fear, and is possessing it in such a way that people are beginning to see a way of life through entrepreneurship. Finally entrepreneurship is becoming more feasible and realistic for many more so than what we have witnessed in prior years.

This is certainly a good thing for the space and it will no doubt impact positively on the economies of the world.

When entrepreneurs thrive in their communities, those communities begin to prosper, resulting into more jobs and contributions to their local economy. Individuals everywhere are tired of giving their lives to unwarranted and unjust causes voluntarily in exchange for monies to pay their bills and take care of their families.

Albeit, these individuals are tired and worn as a result of any number of ill feelings from working to establish someone else’s vision or goal, or how they are treated as they make a contribution. They’ve started to realize that entrepreneurship could be an alternative with better possibilities to yield desired results.

Contributing their own efforts toward their goals and dreams will in turn cause them to stay away from everyone that does the opposite and forge ahead with others singing the same song. People are tired of the victimization and abuse they suffer in the workplace, They are frustrated with politics and bureaucracies. They seek a better life. Entrepreneurship for those people offers some semblance of hope for their future.

This wave of entrepreneurship is set to continue but like surfing, every wave is different and the surfers will tell you that keeping an eye out for the right wave is important in getting the right kind of surf that brings the feeling like no other.

I will be exploring this wave in it’s entirety to learn and share more about the causes, influences and how entrepreneurs around the world are welcoming this movement like we have never seen it before.
